Weight of choices

This The Weight of Choices

I tried again, fell for someone new,

Though deep inside, I always knew,

A heart half-held, a love confined,

Am I a choice, or just designed?

Is it better to find a good soul,

To love who they are, to feel that whole?

Or stay alone, in silence dwell,

With dreams of love, a distant bell?

What’s worse, the ache of being second best,

Or the fear of never finding rest?

To love with depth, to feel the sting,

Or live without, and never sing?

Is ignorance bliss, a joyful guise,

Or knowing heartbreak, with tearful eyes?

To feel the weight of love’s sweet pain,

Or wander lost, in love’s refrain?

In choices made, we seek the light,

For in the struggle, we find our might.

So here's to love, in all its forms,

Embrace the storms, and weather norms.
